My “10 Minute Face” with Max Factor

PhotoGrid_1472125123714As an elementary school teacher, I’m an early riser, not my choice, but due to necessity. In fact, breakfast is usually hot tea, fruit, and toast because I’d rather sleep than eat. I grab and go.  Whose with me?!  Being a lover of sleep, I also prefer to take a more natural/minimalistic approach to makeup. Over time, I’ve perfected my 5 minute face which consists of: mascara, eyeliner, and lip gloss.  When I have more time on my hands, like 10 minutes, I play with eye-shadow, lip gloss, and finish with a quick swipe of blush on my cheeks. I reserve foundation for special occasions and don’t wear it to school. When Max Factor Cosmetics reached out to me, to help relaunch their cosmetics in the United States,  I was ecstatic!

I received mascara, eye liner, and two lip sticks from Max Factor Cosmetics. This was perfect for my quick morning routine of wash, moisturize, prime, eye shadow, swipe of blush, topped off with tinted lip gloss.

20160824185508_IMG_0986 The eyeliner is thick, black, and elegant.  It was easy create a thick dramatic line across my lip with a single stroke. However, the unique paddle shape of the eye liner tip did take some getting used to when it came to making the wing of the cat eye. I loved the instructions provided by Max Factor which really helped me. I chose to soften my cat eye by shortening the wing for everday appeal. This look is more appropriate for my workplace.

  • Great choice for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers
  • Dries fast and resists smudging
  • Fragrance free, water-resistant and smudge-proof

I found this to be true. The mascara wand worked well to separate and lengthen my lashes, without clumping the product together. After 2 to 3 coats of mascara my lashes didn’t clump together, but appeared slighter thicker and longer. I also wear contact lens, and found that they didn’t interfere with them at all.

💄Tip: I keep my eyebrows well maintained at all times by having them threaded every month. It makes my morning routine go so much faster and allows for minimum makeup.

It offered good coverage without a “cakey” feel.  Unfortunatly the two shades that accompanied my beauty box were too light in color for my skintone. However, with Max Factor being available at Target, CVS, and Walgreens I look forward to finding darker shades that better fit my warm skin-tone.  At only $6-7 dollars each, Max Factor products are affordable. I am sure I will try multiple colors.20160824190722_IMG_1010

I’m so glad you liked it. I really like the eyeliner. It does take some getting used to, but it’seems excellent.
