Iceland Tips & Travel

jenna-iceland-001-01We have been travelling Europe non stop for the past 2 weeks- the trip of a lifetime! First the streets of Paris, then the Amalfi Coast of Italy, followed by the Colosseum in Rome. These destinations have always been on my bucketlist. However, my husband has longed to visit Iceland for years. He is a professional photographer, drone operator, and owner of JandJstudio. He insisted: “Jenna girl, Iceland is a photographer’s dream- we have to go!” So we’ve come this far so why not add another destination? So instead of going straight back to the United States, we ventured to enchanting Iceland.snapseed-07Jason was right! I thought Italy was georgous but Iceland is absolutely breath taking. It feels almost untouched by humans. Just 45 minutes outside of Reykjavik (the capital of Iceland) we encounted the Seljandfoss Waterfall just a few of the hunderds of waterfalls that can be seen in Iceland.  We put on our rainboots and coats and hiked behind them.Iceland (50)-01A short drive down to Vik, Iceland led us to the black sand beaches featured in the Star Wars Rogue One movie. My hubby, ultimate Star Wars fan, was super excited to make this discovery.  Seeing Jason run around with his camera was like watching a kid in a candy store. All photography seen in this post was captured by him. Not to far from all of this you’ll find the wall, where Jocelyn climbed higher and higher (freaking out her mother.)snapseed-06We drove even further and discovered glaciers and volcanic geysers. The cool June air of Iceland dropped to freezing temperatures as we stood and gazed at the rugged beauty. It is an experience I will never forget. It was like being on PBS! We have over 2,000 photos to prove it! There is just so much to see in Iceland!Iceland (40)-01While my I loved roaming around in the cool Iceland air my skin didn’t like it too much. After coming from hot sunny Italy my skin suddenly went dry in the chilly air. With constant washing after using the restroom and before eating, I had to carry hand lotion whereever I went. They were so dry! However, I noticed that my face did not have any issues. Thanks to the NeoStrata Face Serum Bionic 10 my skin stayed supple, soft, and moisturuzed. The 1 ounce pump bottle easily in in my carryon luggage. I applied it my slighty damp face right out of the shower each morning. It felt light weight but has a thicker consistency to other serums that I’ve used. Therefore, I decided to forgo placing an additional face cream on top of it as I usually do. I just allowed the serum to dry and applied my makeup. This was an excellent choice! Even with daily use, I didn’t experience any breakouts nor was I left with a greasy residue.20170624_133044-01This intensive treatment serum with 10% Lactobionic Acid helps restore radiance and improve skin texture, such as wrinkles and fine lines. The Lactobionic Acid, a potent antioxidant, builds skin’s support and protects it by inhibiting MMP, the enzyme that breaks down collagen. Together with Vitamins A, C and E, Lactobionic Acid also has been shown to provides intense moisturization. It’s a medium weight serum targeted for your face and neck. While in Iceland I decided to apply a little to the backs of my dry hands. Oh, what a difference!! It really helped my why dry hands. I’m so glad I brought along the NeoStrata Face Serum Bionic 10 to Iceland. I’ve decided to add it to my winter skincare routine when I return to Texas. I think it will feel too heavy against my sweaty hot skin during our Texas summers. (YUCK!) Can we just stay in Iceland please?jenna-iceland-016-01If you have extremely dry skin or live in a cool climate I recommed you try the NeoStrata Face Serum Bionic 10. It’s available online and in major beauty supply stores. So what have have you friends been up to this summer? Do you have any travel plans this year? Please leave a comment below. I’d love to know where your travels will take you. As always, thank you all for allowing me to share my adventures with you and thank you for stopping by!
