In 2015, I begin my instagram account as a way to share tips. However, I found myself wanting to share more. After a year of instagramming, I begin my blog SassyTeacherChic.com as a way to share style, life lessons, and travels. Starting and maintaining a blog is hard work! There are not only technical aspects, but also learning to create quality content. I knew I needed assistance.
Enter Style Collective!
Style Collective is a blogger support community. Style Collective launched in February 2016 and has quickly grown . It’s community where bloggers learn from, empower, and support one another-not compete with each other. Style Collective also works to connect bloggers with brands, getting its members opportunities to become #girlbosses. I’ve really enjoyed interacting with other bloggers who share my intersest and who genuinely strive to assist one another. I’m so thrilled to be apart of SC!
After a summer of communication via social media, Style Collective arranged for us to meet other local bloggers in our area. We contacted each other and made plans to meet for lunch at The Happiest Hour, just outside of downtown Dallas. Words cannot explain to you how excited, and nervous I was to meet 3 other Dallas/Fort Worth bloggers. Allow me introduce:
Stephanie, of SigningSteph, was the most petite of our group. She is a Texas native. Her Boho Chic style was just as refreshing as her easy going personality. I loved hearing about her inspirations, aspirations, and future goals.
Liz of WittynPretty, is a recent transplant to Dallas, kept us laughing. She told of her recent adventures on the job and getting used to our extreme Texas heat. True to her name, she is WittynPretty in her classic apparel.
Cindi of ForeignFreshFierce, has been a good friend from many years now. We met when we were teeangers and have kept in conact. We’ve gotten closer over time and our families have recently gone on vacation together to The Grand Canyon. It was a delight to see Cindi once again! True to her name, she was fierce in her skort (skirt and short combo).
Last there was myself, Jennifer of SassyTeacherChic. My style is simple yet chic, with dash of sass. I wore a new find: The Rivera Shorts by Loft. (My exact ones) These lovely shorts come in various colors, prints, and even lengths. Choose 4, 6, or 8 inch inseam Riveria shorts from Loft. Click here and scroll down to see other Riveria Shorts by Loft. I topped them my bejeweled high neck blouse from Express. The pewter clutch bag by Urban Expressions, and metallic shoes from Calvin Klein gave my outfit a dash of sass.
The patio of The Happiest Hour was the perfect location. We loved everything about this fantastic location-food, atmosphere, and promixity to Dallas. Over drinks and food, we took the time to laugh and joke, chatting about upcoming blogger opportunities, “Instagram Husbands,” and tips we’ve learned over the years. What a great meetup! Style Collective joined together 4 different bloggers with 4 very different styles, and we couldn’t be happier. Please take some time to visit the blogs of these Dallas/Fort Worth #girlbosses. I’m sure you’ll enjoy meeting them just as I have!
