Back to School With Jane

At this point, the word “school” is equivlant to a curse word in my book. Long live summer!  But let’s face it, in just a few short weeks we must return to the “real world” of routines and rules once the school year begins. For me, that’s getting Jocelyn ready each morning, teaching my 2nd graders, lesson planning, staff meetings, and after school events.

Well, if I have to back to school, I might as well do it in style, and on a reasonable budget.  I partnered with Jane to bring you back to school ideas. Jane, is online collection of trendy boutiques, and has been a great place to start my back to school shopping this year. I found two great pieces to start the year off right.

Outfit #1

For the “First day of School” or “Meet the Teacher Night”, I wanted something dressy. I discovered this classic dark floral dress. I love the midi length of this dress along with it’s deep pockets! I used a simple belt to cinch my waist and grabbed my favorite black bag to complete this look.

Outfit # 2

For a more laid back look, the purple swing dress spoke to me. Everything about this dress is just what I had in mind: vibrant color, non- revealing neckline, short sleeves, easy on/off, and knee length. (I’m 5 feet 7 inches tall.) This is a great piece for us tall gals. The A line shape is very forgiving. It hides a slight belly pooch and/or food baby easily because it’s not skin tight, but definitely has a shape. To complete this look, I paired the swing dress with gold accessories, neutral shoes, and my everyday work bag.

Thanks to Jane, I’m off to a good start as I update my wardrobe for the new school year. Stay turned to see more back to school outfits as the summer continues. In the meantime, be sure to check out Jane.com for trendy yet quality pieces for your wardrobe! Happy “Back to School” and thanks for stopping by.
