Using the skirt as my anchor, I began to build today’s outfit. I choose a basic long sleeve top to compliment my plaid skirt. This one is thin enough to breath when the sun warms everything up, but warm enough to fight the morning chill. It does not add bulk to the pencil skirt when I tuck it in. I’m wearing size small in both the shirt and skirt.
I kept my accessories simple but chic, so as not to draw attention away from the skirt. The neutral handbag and shoes easily compliment the colors found in the pencil skirt. They’re both old favorites from a few years ago.
Finally, I topped the outfit with my favorite moto jacket. A moto jacket for the workplace? Yes, please! The leather material combined with the tailored fit adds “oomph” to an otherwise classy and fabulous look. The best part, it comes in 12 different colors! I’m wearing x-small.
